Maybe there is no one to talk to or you don't really want the company of another person right now or at the moment. You can still get comfort and solitude by coming to this page. You can also get the feedback, help and centering you may need at this moment.
Let's Get Centered: Sit comfortably in your seat. Put your feet flat on the floor. Place your hands loosely in your lap. Begin breathing--- inhale slowly...1....2....3....4, exhale slowly..1....2....3....4, repeat 2 more times, slow comfortable deep breathes.
Recite the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.
Even though it may feel like everything is out of control and maybe it is...take a moment to hold still and notice that deep breathing can help you to let go and feel grounded and centered. The more grounded you are the more effective you can be for yourself. It is easier to offer support to another person when you feel grounded and centered.
Take 3 more slow comfortable deep breathes: inhale slowly...1....2....3....4, exhale slowly..1....2....3....4, repeat 2 more times.
Remember...one day at a time, sometimes, one moment at a time. Breathe in....1....2....3....4 and out....1....2....3....4. Good. Be present now....so you can be clear about whatever comes next....breathe, Good. Take a moment to notice how you felt about the things that happened today. Take a few deep breathes. Recite to yourself:
"Congratulations - I got through the day!!! I am still here and I am successful. Even though it (the situation or day) may have been hard, I made it!"
